“Tom Selleck Reportedly Has Major Surgery”

Tom Selleck is reportedly recovering from significant surgery, according to InTouch. The news outlet obtained footage from July 17 showing the Blue Bloods and Magnum P.I. star leaving an undisclosed gym with visible vertical scars on his knees. This has led them to speculate that Selleck underwent knee surgery on both legs.

InTouch has not provided details on when the surgery took place, and Selleck’s representatives have not commented on the July 29 report.

Selleck has faced ongoing health rumors, including claims of “crippling arthritis.” Radar reported in July 2023 that the TV icon was experiencing “constant pain,” a claim his representatives have strongly denied.

The recent footage of Selleck’s knee scars has raised concerns among those close to him. According to unnamed sources cited by The National Enquirer in its August 5 issue, the 79-year-old actor has been overexerting himself with home repairs and physical tasks. “Instead of relaxing, he’s working up a sweat doing repairs around the house, managing the land, and taking on tasks that are risky for someone his age and size,” the insider said. “He should slow down, but he continues to lift, climb, and handle most of the fix-it jobs himself. Many believe he’s taking unnecessary risks, as falls can lead to serious injuries at his age.”

Despite these concerns, Selleck is expected to return to television this fall with the final episodes of Blue Bloods. Season 14 will resume on October 18.
