“Tom Selleck Looks Ahead in Final Season of ‘Blue Bloods'”

“Blue Bloods” is gearing up for its 14th and final season, but Tom Selleck is optimistic about the show’s conclusion.

Since its debut on September 24, 2010, the CBS police procedural drama has followed the fictional Reagan family—an Irish-Catholic family in New York City deeply involved in law enforcement. Selleck, who plays the patriarch Frank Reagan, believes the series will end on a high note.

In a recent interview, the 78-year-old actor expressed confidence in the show’s lasting appeal. “CBS will find that many viewers aren’t ready to say goodbye,” Selleck remarked. “The show’s popularity is at an all-time high, and I believe interest will continue to grow this year. We definitely still have fresh ideas.”

Selleck, who remains passionate about his work, isn’t planning to retire once the show wraps up. “I’m not counting the days to move on,” he said. “I love what I do. Sure, the hours can be tough as I get older, but I’m eager to keep working as long as I can.”

When the final season was announced, Selleck shared his gratitude with fans. “Over the past 13 years, it has been an honor to work on a show that not only honors those who protect and serve New York City but also emphasizes the value of family,” he stated. “Being part of this amazing cast, along with the talented writers, producers, directors, and crew, has been a dream. I’m grateful to have contributed to over 275 episodes.”

The first half of “Blue Bloods” Season 14 premieres on February 16, with the second half slated for later in the year, with the exact date yet to be announced.
