“Bridget Moynahan Reflects on Emotional Final Day with Tom Selleck on Blue Bloods Set (Exclusive)”

After 14 seasons, fans of one of TV’s longest-running police procedurals will gather for one final Friday-night dinner with the Reagan family.

Bridget Moynahan, 53, who has portrayed Erin Reagan alongside Tom Selleck’s Frank, reflects on the show’s end with a sense of loss. “We’re all a bit disappointed,” she shares. “We’ve had such a great time working together. It feels like a real loss. This show has been a constant in our lives for 14 years, and we’ve shared so many significant moments together—births, deaths, marriages, divorces, and more.”

On her final day on set in New York City, Moynahan watched as her co-star Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny, filmed his last scene. “One of the most memorable moments was Tom, who had already finished his scenes, coming back to support Donnie and me during our last scene,” Moynahan recalls.

“We were behind the monitor, and I had my arm around Tom. He was holding my hands in a way that reminded me of my father. It was a moment of deep gratitude and grace. From the beginning, Tom treated everyone like family. That silent exchange of love and respect spoke volumes.”

The final week on set was filled with emotional farewells. “Every day was emotional, with lots of lasts and heartfelt conversations. Many crew members have been with us from day one, so there were many hugs and tears. It was a truly beautiful experience,” Moynahan says.

As Season 14 premieres on October 18, Moynahan expresses her gratitude to the show’s loyal fans. “I’m so thankful for their support, for tuning in every Friday night, and for caring about the stories and characters. And a special thanks to the law enforcement professionals who risk their lives for us,” she adds.
