“Tom Selleck Reveals Exciting Details About His Debut Book, ‘You Never Know'”
Tom Selleck is eagerly anticipating the release of his debut book, You Never Know, set to hit the shelves in May.
In a recent conversation about his upcoming book, a source shared with Closer, “This isn’t a Hollywood gossip fest. Instead, Tom is reflecting on his experiences in the industry, his encounters with notable stars, and the lessons he’s learned along the way.”
The Friends star will discuss his decision to turn down the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark due to his commitment to Magnum, P.I.
“I hope the book has a humorous touch because I don’t take myself too seriously,” Tom remarked in earlier interviews.
The actor known for Three Men and a Baby emphasized, “A sense of humor is crucial for a long-lasting career, as is maintaining a sense of humor in your work.”
Another source revealed that Tom plans to take a break from Hollywood following the conclusion of Blue Bloods in the fall of 2024.
The insider disclosed, “Tom loves his craft, but he’s no longer driven by the need for more roles. He’s not actively seeking new projects.”
“If a compelling opportunity arises, he’ll definitely give it serious thought,” the source added.
Tom is open to reprising his role as Frank in a Blue Bloods film, but only if the script is compelling. “At his stage in life, Tom values time to enjoy his outdoor hobbies on the ranch and to be with his family,” another insider explained. “He’s financially secure and not fixated on fame or its perks.”
Post-Blue Bloods, the source noted, “Tom has plenty to keep him occupied and content.”
