Kevin Costner Struggles with Financial Challenges Following ‘Horizon’ Underperformance: Insider Reveals

Kevin Costner is reportedly facing financial difficulties after investing millions in Horizon: An American Saga, which failed to resonate with audiences.

An insider for Life & Style revealed that Costner heavily financed the project using undeveloped California land he owns. As the reality of the film’s lackluster performance sets in, he may have to sell this real estate to stay afloat.

Costner personally invested $38 million into the four-part series, but the film only grossed $11 million during its opening weekend against a reported budget of $100 million.

Additionally, the actor recently addressed the cancellation of Horizon 2, originally scheduled for release on August 16, 2024, attributing the decision to the first film’s disappointing results. Moving forward, the insider mentioned that he will likely need to restructure his financial holdings to maintain stability.
