“Meghan Markle Steps Away from Prince Harry at Kevin Costner’s Charity Event: Here’s Why”

Prince Harry attended Kevin Costner’s charity event solo after Meghan Markle had to withdraw due to illness. The Duke of Sussex was there to honor first responders, specifically recognizing Santa Barbara helicopter pilot Loren Courtney. The event, titled “One805Live!” featured notable attendees like Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe, and Pink. Last year, Harry and Meghan attended together, but this time, Meghan’s absence was attributed to her being unwell, according to The Mirror.

Despite her illness, Meghan is expected to participate in a New York event this weekend, likely the Diana Awards hosted by the Halo Trust, which Princess Diana herself supported.

Harry, dressed in a navy suit and white shirt, arrived around 7 PM and addressed the audience with a lighthearted remark about feeling more comfortable behind the controls of a helicopter, drawing on his experience as a former army Apache pilot.

Looking ahead, Prince Harry plans to return to the UK later this month for the WellChild Awards, a charity he has supported for 16 years. It remains uncertain whether Meghan will join him, especially since reports suggest she has vowed not to return to the UK. Although the couple briefly landed in the UK after a recent visit to Nigeria, Meghan reportedly stayed at the airport during their stop.
