Kevin Costner Opens Up About Life as a Single Father Following Christine Baumgartner Split

Kevin Costner recently opened up about his experiences as a single father following his split from Christine Baumgartner during an appearance on The View.

The Yellowstone star shared his perspective on navigating life’s challenges, saying, “Life has taken some bites out of me, and I see myself as a movie.” He believes that movies offer valuable life lessons and emphasized the importance of supporting those around him during tough times.

“I know I’m bruised and aware of my situation,” he continued. “I’ve been really lucky in my life, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t faced difficulties. Life has had its share of ups and downs, and I’ve come to understand who I want to be both on-screen and in my personal life.”

As a father to seven children, three of whom—Cayden Wyatt, 17, Hayes Logan, 15, and Grace Avery, 14—he shares with Baumgartner, Kevin expressed gratitude for his kids.

“I’m a single father now, which wasn’t the plan, but that’s where I am,” he reflected. “I love seeing them succeed and cherish the time we’ve spent together. They talk to me about everything, and while life has its challenges, they’re really good kids, and I feel fortunate.”
