Tom Selleck’s Family: A Look at His Life with His Two Children
After achieving fame with Magnum P.I., Tom Selleck made a significant decision in 1988 to step away from the show to prioritize family time. “I quit Magnum to have a family,” he shared with PEOPLE in 2012. “It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that.”
Tom is a proud father of two. He adopted his stepson, Kevin Shepard (born 1966), during his eleven-year marriage to model Jacqueline Ray. After their divorce in 1982, Tom found love again with Jillie Joan Mack. They married and welcomed a daughter, Hannah, in 1988.

Kevin Selleck
Tom adopted Kevin Shepard in August 1987 when Kevin was 21. A talented drummer, he played with the band Tonic from 1993 to 1996. Kevin prefers to stay out of the spotlight and is reportedly married to Annabelle Selleck, with whom he shares six children.
Hannah Margaret Selleck
Born on December 16, 1988, Hannah grew up on her parents’ avocado ranch in Ventura County, California. She developed a love for horses early on and began riding lessons as a child, eventually becoming an accomplished equestrian. “Because my parents are both artists, they believe in the importance of passion in achieving success,” she explained to EQ Living. “They encouraged me to pursue my interests and allowed me to take the lead in my journey.”
Hannah has traveled the world competing with her horses and recently participated in the 2023 CSI2* Grand Prix at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach. In April 2024, she secured third place at the Bainbridge Companies CSI3* Grand Prix. When not traveling, Hannah resides in New York and plans to spend part of the summer in Europe. With 33.9k followers on Instagram, she also shares glimpses of her modeling work and personal life. In 2022, she posted a heartfelt photo of her dad, showcasing their close bond.
