Will There Be a ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 4? How the Finale Sets It Up

Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is set to tackle a gripping case in The Lincoln Lawyer: Did his client, Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye), murder the lawyer’s friend, Glory Days (Fiona Rene)? This storyline was introduced at the end of Season 2, and fans are curious if a similar setup will occur in the upcoming third season, premiering on October 17 on Netflix.

Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez are cautious when discussing the Season 3 finale. “We always establish the next case of the season. This time, it won’t directly set up the next case, but it will definitely pave the way for the next book,” Rodriguez shared with TV Insider.

Humphrey added, “We can confidently say this season will propel us into a very exciting and personal Season 4.” While the show has yet to be renewed, it’s worth noting that Season 3 was confirmed only after the second season aired.

Based on Michael Connelly’s novels, Season 3 adapts The Gods of Guilt. “We hope to adapt all the books,” Rodriguez mentioned. Humphrey teased, “Michael has hinted at possibly working on another Lincoln Lawyer book beyond the existing ones. We’re eager to read it if he is. We have internal plans for adapting all the novels.” However, they emphasize that the future of the show hinges on audience reception. “If viewers continue to enjoy what we’re creating, we’ll keep making the show,” Humphrey added.

Their vision also includes potential storylines for Seasons 5 and 6.
