“Tom Selleck Concerned About Losing California Ranch After ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation”

Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck has expressed concern about potentially losing his home following the cancellation of the long-running show. Selleck, who portrayed Frank Reagan for 14 seasons, is facing uncertainty about his future. He revealed to CBS Sunday Morning that if he is unable to secure new work, he might be at risk of losing his 63-acre ranch. “Hopefully, I’ll keep working enough to hold onto the place,” he said, acknowledging that while he’s financially secure, maintaining such a large property could be challenging without a steady income.

Selleck shared that he hopes to continue his acting career, though he hasn’t confirmed any new projects yet. He explained, “As an actor, you never lose that feeling that every job could be your last, but I embrace it. I have a deep respect for what I call ‘the work.’ I love it.”

Selleck remains hopeful that CBS might reconsider their decision to end the show. He told CBS News, “I believe CBS might come to their senses. We’re the third-highest scripted show on broadcast TV. We’re performing well, and the cast is eager to return. I don’t think we’re losing momentum—we’re still producing strong shows. So, who knows?”

Despite Selleck’s hopes, CBS appears resolute in its decision. CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach addressed the issue at a press conference, saying, “We want to extend our gratitude to everyone involved with the show. We will certainly miss the family dinners that have become iconic. It’s essential to give the show a proper farewell.

“We have great respect for this cast and their commitment to the show. However, all shows must eventually conclude, and it’s time for us to refresh our schedule. We are committed to bringing the show to a close by December.”
