Kevin Costner appears to be moving on romantically, as multiple sources confirm that the Oscar-winning actor is “casually” seeing documentary filmmaker Kelly Noonan Gores, the ex-wife of billionaire Alec Gores.
This new connection comes nearly two years after Costner’s highly publicized split from Christine Baumgartner, who has since become engaged to longtime family friend Josh Connor.
Sources say that Costner and Gores were introduced through mutual friends and have been spending time together in recent months. Although they live in different parts of California—Costner in Carpinteria and Gores in Manhattan Beach—they’ve been able to meet up, including a recent trip to Colorado.
“They are hanging out casually and were connected by friends,” one insider shared. “It’s not serious, but they’ve been getting to know each other. They both frequent Aspen and share mutual friend circles.”
Costner’s Recent Legal and Personal Challenges
While Costner’s personal life is making headlines again, he’s also been entangled in legal controversy. Costner finalized his divorce from Christine Baumgartner in February of last year after more than 18 years of marriage. The split was reportedly difficult for the actor, who admitted the divorce was “not anything that he wanted” and that he “would change the situation” if he could. Despite the challenges, he’s expressed continued respect for Baumgartner, once saying, “Of course” when asked if he still loves her.
Under the divorce agreement, Costner was ordered to pay $63,000 per month in child support.
