“Fans shocked as famous singer debuts ‘unrecognizable’ new look after ‘dating’ Yellowstone star Kevin Costner”

She rose to fame in the 1990s with the hit singles Who Will Save Your Soul and You Were Meant for Me, becoming one of the era’s most beloved folk-pop artists.

Over the years, Jewel has been in the spotlight not only for her music but also for her high-profile relationships. She was married to rodeo champion Ty Murray and was more recently linked to Yellowstone star Kevin Costner.

But this week, the 51-year-old singer-songwriter had fans doing a double take when she debuted a bold new look on Instagram.

Gone was her signature blonde hair — replaced by a soft red hue, styled into a voluminous, fashion-forward ‘do. She paired the striking hairstyle with glowing peach-toned makeup, highlighting her cheekbones and giving her an elegant, refreshed appearance.

The Utah-born star was dressed to impress in a stunning Schiaparelli ensemble as she attended an event in France honoring designer Daniel Roseberry, creative director of the famed fashion house.

Jewel, whose full name is Jewel Kilcher, is a Grammy-nominated artist, actress, author, and mental health advocate. With more than 30 million albums sold worldwide as of 2024, her enduring career continues to resonate with fans across generations. Some of her most iconic tracks include Hands, Standing Still, Foolish Games, and Intuition.

Recently, she’s also caught attention for her fit physique. In a post last month, she showed off her toned frame in a black swimsuit, crediting weightlifting for her stronger, more sculpted build.

She was also seen looking noticeably slimmer at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s high-profile wedding in Italy earlier this summer.

Jewel first broke onto the music scene in 1995 with her debut album Pieces of You, which became one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, thanks to its raw lyrics and heartfelt melodies.

In late 2023, romance rumors began swirling after she and Kevin Costner were spotted together at a charity tennis event on Necker Island. While speculation mounted, Costner later clarified on The Howard Stern Show that their connection was more platonic, though he praised Jewel’s intelligence and beauty. Jewel, for her part, called Costner a “great person” but kept quiet about the full nature of their relationship in an interview.

Earlier this year, Jewel found herself at the center of political controversy after performing Somewhere Over the Rainbow at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again Inaugural Ball. The event drew backlash due to Kennedy’s political ties, including his appointment by Donald Trump as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

In response, Jewel posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, explaining that her decision was motivated by her long-standing commitment to mental health advocacy.

“As many of you know, I’m a mental health advocate,” she said. “Mental health affects everyone — across party lines. I chose to participate in hopes of shaping policy and raising awareness.”

She acknowledged that her choice upset some fans, adding, “I’m truly sorry if I caused anyone pain. But if I wait for perfect conditions or people I 100% agree with, I may never act. Activism isn’t about waiting — it’s about engaging, even when it’s uncomfortable.”

Jewel said she remains committed to pushing for mental health resources and conversation in America, and hopes her actions, even if controversial, can make a difference.
