Kevin Costner Says Love Still ‘Could Happen for Me’ After Divorce: ‘People Are Supposed to Be Together’

Kevin Costner says he is open to finding love again after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of Horizon: An American Saga, the 71-year-old actor and director said he believes people are meant to be together and hopes love could happen for him again. He added that he refuses to let his experiences “harden” his heart.

Costner also talked about his dedication to directing Horizon, calling it a passion project he wanted to match his original vision. Costner and Baumgartner finalized their divorce after she filed in May 2023. They share three children together.

He also addressed rumors about dating singer Jewel, saying they are only friends and have never been romantically involved.
