“‘Blue Bloods’ Reveals Mira Sorvino & Debi Mazar for Final Season — First Look Photos Inside”

Blue Bloods is bringing back some familiar faces for its final run of episodes.

Mira Sorvino (Shining Vale) and Debi Mazar (Younger) are set to make their first guest appearances in the second half of the beloved cop family drama’s 14th and final season. Both actresses will portray strong, confident women who won’t be easily intimidated by the powerful Reagan family if they believe they’re right.

Mazar, who is currently starring in Netflix’s Kaos, will make her debut on October 18, the first of the final eight episodes of Blue Bloods. She will play Queens DA Evaline Romano, a no-nonsense prosecutor investigating ADA Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) for alleged misconduct related to a jury member in a major gang trial. Romano will challenge Erin directly, refusing to be swayed by the Reagan family’s influence over NYC law enforcement. It looks like Romano will be a formidable opponent for the Reagan daughter.

Sorvino, who won an Oscar for 1995’s Mighty Aphrodite, will appear in the November 1 episode as Veronica Radley, the newly appointed Fire Commissioner. Radley is portrayed as someone who won’t tolerate any nonsense and isn’t afraid to make waves when she believes she’s right. She’s already clashing with Mayor Peter Chase (Dylan Walsh) and is not pleased when police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) visits her in an attempt to smooth over relations between her and the Mayor, who is often at odds with Frank. Radley’s primary focus, she insists, is the city she cares deeply about.

It was announced in November 2023 that Blue Bloods will conclude with its 14th season, with the first half airing in the spring. Looking ahead to the series finale, showrunner Kevin Wade told TV Insider in May, “There won’t be any cliffhangers because there’s no cliff, but it ends. Anything we would do that was an open question would by definition never be answered, so we’re trying to bring character stories to a close in that one. Obviously, we have some stories, some plot, but no, it’s designed as the last one.”
