“CBS Executives Reportedly Frustrated by Tom Selleck’s Comments on ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation”

CBS Executives Reportedly Upset with Tom Selleck’s Financial Comments Following ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation

According to Closer, CBS executives are reportedly outraged by Tom Selleck’s remarks about the cancellation of “Blue Bloods.”

Selleck, 79, has expressed concerns that the end of “Blue Bloods” could potentially leave him financially struggling and at risk of losing his cherished 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, where he has lived since 1988.

CBS Execs Unimpressed with Financial Concerns

The report suggests that CBS officials are skeptical of Selleck’s financial worries. They are reportedly aware of the substantial earnings he has accumulated from the show. Selleck earned $200,000 per episode, totaling $56 million over the course of the series, not including additional income from reruns. “Blue Bloods” began in 2010 and has run for 14 seasons.

CBS executives are particularly displeased with Selleck’s claims, noting that his income far surpasses that of the show’s crew and staff, many of whom earn less than $100,000 annually and face genuine financial concerns as the show wraps up.

Selleck’s Discontent with Show’s End

Selleck has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the show’s cancellation, questioning CBS’s decision given the series’ strong ratings and dedicated fanbase. While there remains a possibility for a spin-off or movie, Selleck’s strained relationship with CBS could impact future projects related to “Blue Bloods.”

The final episodes of “Blue Bloods” will air on CBS starting Friday, October 18, at 10 p.m. (ET), with the series finale scheduled for December.
