“CBS Will Come To Their Senses”: Tom Selleck Still Hopes Blue Bloods Will Be Saved

Despite CBS previously confirming that Blue Bloods will end with season 14, star Tom Selleck still believes the show can be saved. The final season is scheduled to air in two parts, with the 10-episode part 1 currently airing, while the 8-episode part 2 will begin in October. This has led to a campaign to save the series, an effort shot down by CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach, who said the show would be ending for good this year.

However, speaking with CBS News, Selleck maintained faith that Blue Bloods season 14 will not be the end of the show, insisting that CBS is going to change its mind. Citing just how successful the series continues to be after almost a decade and a half on the air, he thinks the show has a strong chance of continuing beyond its planned ending point. Check out what Selleck had to say below:

Well, that’s a good question. I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses. We’re the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!
