“Is Kevin Costner’s Field of Dreams Overhyped?”

Roger Ebert awarded a perfect score to Kevin Costner’s Field of Dreams, and the 1989 film continues to enjoy high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, both from critics and audiences. It’s one of those films that’s so iconic, even if someone hasn’t seen it, they’ve likely heard the famous line, “If you build it, they will come.” With one of Costner’s most memorable performances, I personally don’t think this film is overrated. In fact, I believe it’s one of the rare movies that truly stands the test of time. Even after multiple viewings, Field of Dreams retains its emotional impact. It’s a movie that resonates deeply, regardless of whether you’re a baseball fan.
