“Kelly Reilly Teases Possible Return to ‘Yellowstone’: ‘There’s Another Chapter'”

‘Yellowstone’ May End, But New Stories Could Emerge: Kelly Reilly Hints at Future

While ‘Yellowstone’ appears to be nearing its conclusion, that doesn’t mean the saga is finished. The show has already spun off successful series, and star Kelly Reilly believes there’s potential for more stories to emerge if creator Taylor Sheridan decides to pursue them.

Season 5, Part 2 was initially expected to serve as a farewell to the Western drama, especially amid ongoing drama surrounding Kevin Costner. However, recent reports suggest that ‘Yellowstone’ itself—rather than just spinoffs—might continue beyond its fifth season. Reilly seemed to confirm these speculations in a recent interview, stating, “There’s potentially another chapter. It’s being talked about now.”

She emphasized that “nothing is set in stone,” but added, “If Taylor wants to write it, I would want to do it. He’s the one who’s crafted every line I’ve ever said. This character came from his imagination.” Reilly also noted that a shift in storytelling is necessary: “You can’t keep telling the same story. This story is ending. Yellowstone as we know it is ending, but if there are more stories to tell with some characters, it will be a little different.”

Regarding spinoffs, Sheridan has expressed interest in expanding the ‘Yellowstone’ universe. Although the prequel series ‘1883’ didn’t attract the same audience as the original, Sheridan has explored new ideas, including a Matthew McConaughey-led sequel titled ‘2024.’ He shared with Hollywood Reporter, “He seems like a natural fit… he started watching ‘Yellowstone’ and wanted to dive into a raw world clashing with the modern world. That we can do.”

However, the concept underwent changes and evolved into ‘The Madison,’ with McConaughey stepping back and new leads including Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, and Matthew Fox stepping in.
