Kevin Costner and Ex Christine Baumgartner Keep Distance Amid Tense Split at Event

Kevin Costner and his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner remain entangled in a bitter feud more than two years after she filed for divorce from the Yellowstone star. Sources reveal that friends and family are urging the former couple to call a truce and stop creating tension that makes those around them uncomfortable.

The pair recently crossed paths at their 18-year-old son Cayden’s high school graduation in Santa Barbara. Despite the significance of the milestone, insiders say Kevin and Christine went out of their way to avoid each other, refusing to take family photos together and exchanging harsh words behind the scenes.

This marked their first public encounter since Christine, 51, ended their 18-year marriage and began a relationship with Kevin’s longtime friend Josh Connor, 49, who is now her fiancé. “The tension at the graduation was palpable. They didn’t even glance at each other, let alone pose for photos,” a source said.

“They’re still constantly throwing shade. Christine feels Kevin is being cruel and vindictive, like a man scorned who can’t move on.”

Kevin, 70, reportedly remains deeply hurt by Christine’s betrayal involving his friend, and insiders say it’s something he’s unlikely to forgive.

The couple, who also share two other children—16-year-old Hayes and 15-year-old Grace—went through a brief but intense legal battle when Christine sought $248,000 a month in child support. The court ultimately ordered Kevin to pay around $63,000 monthly for the kids, a sum he continues to pay despite Christine’s new engagement.

Sources reveal, “Kevin resents every dollar he has to give. He calls her a gold digger whenever he can and will never get over how their relationship ended. With Christine’s wedding approaching, tensions are expected to rise even further. Everyone is bracing for it.”
