Kevin Costner and Modern West Release New Song for Hurricane Relief Efforts
Kevin Costner has released a heartfelt new song to support victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
On Friday, Costner debuted “Find Your Way” with his band Modern West, marking their first release in four years.
In an Instagram post, Costner shared, “I’ve experienced seasons of darkness where I relied on the lyrics of songs to guide me. I hope ‘Find Your Way’ offers that kind of refuge for anyone feeling lost and struggling with hope.” The song opens with the poignant lines, “When the darkness overtakes you / And the stars above forsake you / And there’s no refuge for days and days / May you always find your way…”
The track was co-written by Costner’s bandmates Teddy Morgan and Park Chisolm, alongside singer-songwriter Kat Higgins, who also contributed background vocals. Patrick Sansone played the Hammond organ on the song, with Modern West members John Coinman, Blair Forward, Larry Cobb, and Matt Combs also featured.
“Find Your Way” is available on Bandcamp for a pay-what-you-want price, with all proceeds going to charities supporting relief efforts for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Costner encouraged his followers to consider purchasing the song to help those affected by the storms.
“Hope this raises significant support for those in need,” Morgan added in his Instagram story, sharing a link to the song.
