Kevin Costner Finds Strength in His Kids After Challenging Year
Kevin Costner has faced a challenging year following his painful divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner and his brief split from singer Jewel, alongside professional setbacks like leaving Yellowstone and financial losses from his passion project, Horizon. Through it all, his children have been a strong source of support, standing by him through thick and thin.
“His kids from both marriages get along really well, and they’ve come together to take care of him,” a source reveals. “They’re helping keep his spirits up during the loneliness of the holidays and everything else he’s been going through. Kevin always tried to be a devoted dad—he even brought them to sets to stay close during their childhoods—and now they’re giving back to him.” The source adds that Kevin’s children are “all well-adjusted, which is a real testament to him.”
His children include Annie (40), Lily (38), and Joe (36) with his first wife, Cindy Silva, and Cayden Wyatt (17), Hayes Logan (15), and Grace Avery (14) with Christine.
Christine filed for divorce in May 2023, with the split finalized in February. Kevin was briefly linked romantically to Jewel, but both have insisted they remain just friends. In June, Kevin announced his exit from Yellowstone, citing schedule conflicts with Horizon. The decision caused a fallout with the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan.
Despite his passion for the Horizon series, Kevin faced financial losses after the first film’s release.
Though his career and finances have taken hits, Kevin has been focusing on self-improvement since becoming single in December. According to an insider, he’s dedicated to his health and appearance—embracing exercise, a low-carb diet, and some beauty treatments, including occasional Botox and fillers.
His fitness routine includes swimming, surfing, hiking, and horseback riding. He also uses a hot sauna to ease joint stiffness and reduce wrinkles. On top of that, Kevin invests in hairstyling, facials, and updating his wardrobe.
