Kevin Costner Joins Harrison Ford for Dutton Family Reunion at the Golden Globes
It’s the Yellowstone and 1923 crossover fans have been dreaming about!
Kevin Costner, famously known as John Dutton, and Harrison Ford, who plays Jacob Dutton, were spotted beaming with smiles while sitting side-by-side at the Golden Globes. Both stars looked incredibly sharp in their classic black tuxedos and bowties—proving that even these rugged Dutton cowboys can clean up with style.
For anyone who follows the Yellowstone universe, this moment is huge. Costner and Ford headline two of the franchise’s biggest shows, yet surprisingly, they hadn’t crossed paths much before this. You’d think these two key players would’ve had a chance to chat sooner, but that wasn’t the case!
Honestly, we were just as surprised. At the 1923 red carpet premiere last year, Ford admitted he hadn’t spoken with Costner before joining the 1923 prequel series.
“I have tremendous respect for Kevin and the incredible work he’s done with Yellowstone,” Ford said. “But I’m on my own path. We haven’t caught up yet, but I’m looking forward to it.”
Looks like their moment finally arrived, and they probably had plenty to talk about. Curious what was on their minds?
To refresh your memory: Ford plays Jacob Dutton, the brother of James Dutton from the Yellowstone prequel 1883. After James’s death, Jacob takes over the family ranch. Fast forward a few decades, and Costner’s John Dutton is the current head of the ranch and the family patriarch on Yellowstone. This would make Jacob the great-great-grand-uncle of John Dutton—definitely a connection worth celebrating!
