“Kevin Costner Reveals Exciting Details for Horizons Parts 3 and 4”

Kevin Costner has made a triumphant return to directing after two decades with his passion project, Horizon. Planned as a four-part epic, this year’s Horizon: An American Saga Chapter One delved into the American West’s expansion and the impact of the Civil War on various lives. Although Chapter One had a mixed reception and a modest box office performance of $34.3 million against a $50 million budget, Costner’s dedication to the project remains unwavering.

Costner, who also stars in the film, expressed his deep pride in the series and his excitement for what’s to come. “I love the journey of this project,” he shared. “It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’m incredibly proud of the first two chapters. The third will be even more challenging, and the fourth will bring the story to a close. I made a promise to myself to deliver these grand stories, and I hope people fall in love with these characters.”

Despite Chapter Two losing its original August 16 release date due to the underperformance of Chapter One, it will still debut at the 81st Venice Film Festival. Costner described this as “a beautiful surprise,” with festival artistic director Alberto Barbera praising the sequel as part of “a visionary project by a great actor and director.” The global release of Chapter Two is anticipated later this year.

Looking ahead, Costner revealed some encouraging news about the remaining chapters. “Sometimes, stories don’t immediately resonate with others,” he noted. “It’s only after the fact that people begin to appreciate them and take ownership. I’ve already shot some of Chapter Three and plan to film both Chapters Three and Four back-to-back next spring.”

While recent updates indicated some tweaks to the final chapters, it’s promising that filming for Chapters Three and Four is set to begin soon. Costner’s resilience in the face of mixed reviews and box office challenges underscores his commitment to completing his Western saga. Fans can look forward to three more installments as Costner continues to bring his epic vision to life.
