“Kevin Costner Seeks Sandra Bullock’s Qualities in a Partner: ‘She’s Self-Made’”

Kevin Costner is under pressure to find an A-list girlfriend, and those close to him believe Sandra Bullock would be an ideal match.

As the 69-year-old star of Horizon: An American Saga approaches his 70th birthday, he finds himself without a long-term partner. “He’s turning 70 next year and is navigating a tough year,” an insider tells Life & Style. This comes on the heels of his recent divorce from Christine Baumgartner and a disappointing reception for his film Horizon at Cannes.

According to the source, a relationship with Sandra Bullock could be just what Kevin needs. “She fits the bill perfectly—she’s smart, self-made, and incredibly wealthy,” says the insider. Kevin’s past experience with his divorce has made him wary of gold-diggers. “He’s not looking to repeat the costly legal battles he faced last year,” the source adds.

Sandra Bullock, 60, is currently single after the death of her longtime partner, photographer Bryan Randall, in August 2023. Kevin was briefly linked to singer Jewel but is currently available. “This is the first time in 30 years they’ve both been single and open to new relationships,” the insider points out.

However, Kevin’s ego might be a stumbling block. “Sandra is naturally humble and doesn’t see herself as a ‘hot girl,’ but Kevin enjoys his sex-symbol status,” says the source, referencing Kevin’s recent red-carpet appearances at Cannes.

Despite this, Kevin appears open to new love as he ages. “His daughters are devoted to him, but he craves the companionship of a partner,” the insider notes. “He likes living with a woman.”

Kevin’s previous marriage to Christine Baumgartner ended in a contentious divorce, with Christine eventually receiving $129,755 a month in child support, significantly less than her initial request.

Following this experience, Kevin has set clear terms for future relationships. “He’s not against dating an actress, but he wants someone who genuinely wants a committed relationship,” the source explains. “She must love kids, have her own career, and be willing to sign a prenup—no exceptions.”
