“Kevin Costner Shines in ‘Yellowstone’ Trailer”
Kevin Costner takes center stage in the trailer released by Paramount on Tuesday for Season 5B of the modern western series Yellowstone.
Since the show began, Costner has portrayed the wealthy rancher John Dutton. However, his commitments to the Horizon film trilogy and last year’s writers’ and actors’ strikes raised questions about his role in the second half of Season 5, which debuts on November 10. The trailer opens with Dutton’s voice-over: “Everyone’s forgotten who runs this valley.”
As images of Dutton’s family and adversaries flash across the screen, Dutton stands alongside his son-in-law Rip (Cole Hauser). “Time to remind them,” he asserts.
The preview also showcases intense scenes of conflict as various factions battle for control of the vast Dutton cattle ranch in Montana. “This war is just beginning,” Dutton declares.
The cast includes Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Finn Little, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, and Wendy Moniz.
