This week, Costner once again stirred headlines after he was spotted having lunch in Los Angeles with a mystery woman. Though initial speculation suggested he might have a new romantic partner, sources quickly clarified that the woman is not a new flame—but his longtime assistant. The two have reportedly worked closely for years, and the lunch was simply a business meeting.
In fact, this isn’t the first time they’ve been seen together. The pair were last photographed earlier this month during a casual outing to Erewhon, a high-end grocery store in Calabasas.
While Costner has kept his personal life mostly private following his difficult divorce, public interest hasn’t waned. In December 2023, he was spotted having drinks with Jennifer Lopez at Aspen hotspot Kemo Sabe, prompting dating rumors. And earlier that same month, he was seen attending a charity event on Richard Branson’s Necker Island alongside singer Jewel.
By June 2024, Costner finally addressed the Jewel rumors head-on during a radio interview. When asked whether he was in love, Costner firmly denied the claims.
“No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out—ever,” he said. “She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship. She’s beautiful enough to go out with, but that’s not what this is.”
Costner went on to explain that their time together on Necker Island included several other guests, including actress Emma Watson and a handful of non-celebrities. He emphasized that his connection with Jewel was purely platonic, rooted in meaningful conversation and mutual respect.
“She’s everything you might think—smart, beautiful, strong—but it just hasn’t happened for us,” he added. “We don’t have a romance, and we’ve not dated.”
Meanwhile, Costner’s ex-wife Christine has moved on and is now engaged to financier Josh Connor. As for Kevin, despite the swirling rumors and occasional public appearances with notable women, he continues to maintain that he’s single—and focused on family and work.
