“Kevin Costner Struggles Financially After Investing $38M in ‘Horizon’ Following Box Office Disappointment”

Kevin Costner Faces Financial Trouble After $38 Million Investment in ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ Flops

Kevin Costner is reportedly in severe financial distress following the box office failure of his ambitious $100 million film project, “Horizon: An American Saga.” The film’s disappointing performance has allegedly jeopardized Costner’s luxurious Santa Barbara estate and led to delays in the release of its sequels.

Costner personally invested $38 million into the project and is also grappling with the financial strain from a recent costly divorce, which includes a monthly child support payment of $63,209.

Despite initial excitement and an impressive 11-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival, the film only earned $11 million during its opening weekend. This underwhelming result has prompted New Line Cinema to postpone the release of the second installment, originally slated for August, casting doubt on the future of the entire series.

Sources close to the 69-year-old actor reveal that he disregarded multiple warnings about investing his own funds, ultimately risking a significant portion of his savings. An insider commented, “Kevin was cautioned against using his personal money, but he went ahead and invested $38 million of his own cash. Now, he’s facing the possibility of losing all that money.”
