“Kevin Costner Stuns in Stylish Beige Suit at Sunset Marquis Arrival”
Kevin Costner showcased his mid-week fashion sense while arriving at a Los Angeles hotel on Wednesday afternoon. The 69-year-old actor and filmmaker turned heads in a stylish beige suit as he pulled up to the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.
Just days prior, Costner made an appearance on the red carpet at the 2024 History Talks event at The Academy Museum in Los Angeles. For his hotel arrival, he opted for a slightly unbuttoned white dress shirt paired with a beige suit coat, complemented by matching beige pants and brown dress shoes. He added a touch of flair with black sunglasses while holding his phone as he stepped out of his vehicle.
Costner recently debuted his latest directorial project, Horizon: An American Saga, which hit theaters this summer but faced some challenges. The ambitious film, which prompted him to step away from his successful series Yellowstone, was the first installment of a planned four-film series. Unfortunately, it opened to just $11 million and garnered $36.4 million globally against a reported budget of $50 million to $100 million.
In light of the film’s underwhelming performance, the release of the second chapter was pulled from its original August date, allowing the first film to find its footing on digital and home video. Chapter 2 recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where Costner candidly acknowledged the film’s struggles. “It didn’t have overwhelming success. I’ve had a lot of movies that way, that have stood the test of time,” he noted, suggesting that Horizon may also endure.
Costner saw the delay of Chapter 2 as a silver lining, allowing him to premiere at the prestigious Venice festival, a dream he wouldn’t have realized if the film had been released as planned. “For me, it fell back into my plan, which was to release movies about five to six months apart,” he explained. The film series will explore a 15-year span of the pre-and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West.
