“Kevin Costner Stuns Ruggedly Handsome on Latest Red Carpet Appearance”

Kevin Costner reunited with Morgan Freeman on the red carpet to celebrate their new Civil War drama, The Gray House. Costner looked ruggedly handsome as he joined Freeman at the screening of the historical series, appearing relaxed and confident alongside his longtime collaborator. The eight-episode series, which both stars executive produce, marks their first project together in 35 years since 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves—a reunion that sparked plenty of nostalgia.

“He’s a consummate actor,” Kevin said of Freeman. “When we stepped into the Robin Hood mythology, he was immediately available as a man, as an actor. We had sword fights, and it was a very good moment for both of us. We knew we had a strong script, and that carried over into The Gray House.”

Morgan Freeman laughed when asked how much he remembered from their earlier film. “I remember having a good time doing it,” he joked. “It’s been 35 years, so not much else sticks!”

The Gray House, premiering on Amazon Prime Video on February 26, is based on true events and follows Daisy Head as Elizabeth Van Lew, a wealthy Virginian who secretly ran a spy network for the Union during the Civil War. Mary-Louise Parker plays Van Lew’s mother, Eliza, while Amethyst Davis portrays Mary Jane Richards, a formerly enslaved woman who also allegedly served as a spy.

For both Costner and Freeman, the story’s strength was the main draw. “We’re storytellers at our core,” Kevin explained. “We saw it as real entertainment first and foremost—wrapped in a true story.” Freeman added that Kevin’s history with American stories made him the perfect fit. “Kevin’s been involved in history before,” he said, referencing projects like Dances With Wolves and Yellowstone. “Stories like this—especially ones most people never knew about—are really worth telling.”
