“Kevin Costner Transforms Berlin Bus into Western Stage”

All roads lead to the cinema, but now they do so in an eco-friendly manner with public transport. In a new social media film, even a western hero like Kevin Costner trades his horse for a bus, much to the delight of fellow passengers.

As Kevin Costner’s western epic HORIZON makes its nationwide debut in Germany, this social spot is featured on Tobis Film and BVG’s social media channels. The message is clear: real heroes ride the BVG to catch HORIZON. Max Krumm, product manager at TOBIS, stated, “For the release of Kevin Costner’s new western, we wanted to announce that the Sheriff is back in town. BVG was the perfect partner for this.”

Christine Wolburg, head of sales and marketing at BVG, commented, “We view all our passengers as heroes for their role in the ecological transport revolution—heading to the cinema included. Working with Kevin Costner to convey this message was a pleasure. PS: our buses have more horsepower.”

Jeannette Bohné, creative director at Serviceplan Berlin, added, “The collaboration between HORIZON and BVG blends Hollywood with Berlin flair, creating something both challenging and unique. It’s thrilling when iconic brands unite to make a cultural impact.”

The film was produced by Wolffpack Vision, directed by Matthias Wackrow, and shot by Tobi Koppe. This marks Serviceplan Berlin’s first project with Tobis Film, although they’ve collaborated with BVG for six years on successful projects, including the award-winning BVG women’s ticket.
