Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter Two’ to Premiere at Venice Film Festival
“My dream was always to show ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter Two’ at the Venice Film Festival,” said Costner, who had previously leveraged one of his homes to finance the first film. The second installment of Kevin Costner’s epic saga will have its world premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
Directed by and starring the Oscar-winning actor, ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter Two’ features a notable supporting cast, including Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, and Danny Huston. It will be showcased in the festival’s out-of-competition section on September 7.
Additionally, ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter One’ will also be screened on the same day. The film, which earned a 10-minute standing ovation at Cannes in May, has faced mixed reviews from critics. The first chapter, which Costner financed with a personal investment of $38 million, is a three-hour epic that introduces a broad range of characters and sets the stage for the saga.
