Kevin Costner may still be healing from his highly publicized divorce, but insiders say the Hollywood legend could be ready to dip his toe back into the dating pool — and he may already have someone special in his sights.

According to a source, the Dances With Wolves star, 70, was recently spotted getting flirty with Mad Men actress January Jones, 47, at a private party. “They really hit it off,” the insider reveals. “They exchanged numbers, and there was definitely a spark. But if Kevin wants to take this further, he’ll need to shift his focus away from work and make a move.”

Friends of the pair say there’s potential for more than just casual chemistry. “Kevin and January actually have a lot in common,” says the source. “They’ve both been misunderstood in Hollywood and are finally being recognized for their talent and work ethic. That’s created a kind of mutual respect.”

And January may already be smitten. “She’s definitely Kevin’s type — and she’s been a fan of his for years,” the source shares. “She’s made it known through mutual friends that she’s open to seeing where things could go.”

Still, those close to Costner admit he’s been hesitant to jump back into dating after his difficult split from Christine Baumgartner, 51. Their 18-year marriage ended in a contentious divorce finalized in February 2024. The former couple share three children, and Christine quickly moved on with Costner’s former friend, Josh Connor.

“Kevin’s met plenty of women since the divorce, but he struggles to take that next step,” says the insider. “He’s guarded — and understandably so. But everyone in his inner circle is rooting for him to pursue January. She could be just the kind of fresh start he needs.”
