“Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack: A Heartfelt Journey Through Their Love Story”

Tom Selleck has been happily married to Jillie Mack since 1987, and their love story is truly endearing. Before Jillie, Tom was married to Jacqueline Ray from 1971 to 1982, and they had a child together, Kevin Selleck. At the time of his divorce, Tom was experiencing great success with his role on the popular crime drama “Magnum, P.I.”

Tom’s life took a delightful turn in 1983 when he met Jillie Mack. He saw her perform in the West End’s production of “Cats” while on a break from filming “Lassiter” in London. He was so captivated by her performance that he returned to see the show several times.

Jane Seymour once shared with People in 1984, “He kept telling me how great ‘Cats’ was. I thought it was good, but I couldn’t see going back a dozen times.”

Tom and Jillie connected after a performance and soon started dating. Their relationship blossomed, and they married in a small, intimate ceremony in 1987. Tom humorously recounted a small mishap on their wedding day: they forgot their marriage license. “She was in a little room off the chapel, getting ready, and I think my mom was there. Maybe Marty wasn’t there. She was pregnant,” he shared in an April 2024 interview with People. “Jillie can talk really fast and a lot and loudly, and I heard all this stuff and I think Dan went to check, and we had all forgotten the license.”

In 1988, Tom and Jillie welcomed their daughter, Hannah Selleck. They celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with their bond evidently still strong. A notable appearance was their red carpet outing with Hannah at the 31st Annual People’s Choice Awards, where she bore a striking resemblance to her father.

Tom, known for his romantic gestures, revealed in March 2021 that he often gets up early to prepare tea for Jillie. “I get up before Jillie and put on the teakettle, so when she gets up, her tea water is hot. I think I’m pretty romantic.”

Reflecting on his life in an April 2024 interview, Tom expressed his gratitude. “I’ve had a very good life, a very lucky life. I don’t know if it’s what I figured I’d be doing, but it’s with a lot of gratitude.”
