“Luke Wilson Troubled by Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon’ Flop: Report”

Luke Wilson is reportedly disheartened by the disappointing box office performance of Kevin Costner’s passion project, Horizon: An American Saga.

An insider revealed to Life & Style that Luke was a strong supporter of the film when he joined the cast to play Matthew Van Weyden. “He was fully committed to Kevin’s vision and believed that Kevin’s large fan base would turn it into a surprise summer hit,” the source disclosed.

Unfortunately, Luke’s optimism turned into disappointment when the Western film grossed only $11 million in its opening weekend. “A few months later, Luke appears visibly shaken by the film’s performance,” the insider noted.

“He’s been genuinely unsettled by the film’s poor reception, especially from critics,” the source continued. “It just doesn’t make sense to him, and he’s quite disturbed by it.”

It’s worth noting that Kevin Costner self-financed the four-part film series with a budget of $38 million.
