One805LIVE! Creates Unforgettable Night at Kevin Costner’s Estate Supporting Santa Barbara County First Responders
Prince Harry Honors Heart of the Community Award; Trisha Yearwood Headlines with Music Icons; One805 Unveils $10M Mental Health Endowment
On the evening of Saturday, September 20, 2025, Kevin Costner’s stunning oceanside estate in Summerland transformed once again into California’s premier venue for One805LIVE!, the annual benefit concert dedicated to supporting Santa Barbara County First Responders.
The night was marked by memorable performances and heartfelt tributes. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, accompanied by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, presented the Heart of the Community Award to the County Fire Department’s Peer-to-Peer mental health program. In a moving conversation with firefighter Sam Dudley and his rescue dog Rhonda, Prince Harry emphasized the vital need to break mental health stigma. He also praised retiring County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig, saying, “Your leadership has been key in eradicating stigma and setting an outstanding example for your team.”
Actor Rob Lowe was also honored with the Heart of the Community Award for his steadfast dedication to supporting first responders and advancing One805’s mission to provide free mental health care to all first responders.
The concert featured an incredible lineup, including Trisha Yearwood’s debut performance in Santa Barbara, alongside Good Charlotte, The Fray, Thelma Houston, Alan Parsons, Donavon Frankenreiter, Plastic Harpoons, DJ Bad Ash, and Elliot Easton of The Cars. John Kay of Steppenwolf gave a powerful farewell performance of ‘Born to Be Wild,’ earning a standing ovation.
As dusk settled, hundreds of first responders, attending free of charge, illuminated the venue with red glow sticks, creating a poignant display symbolizing their daily life-saving work.
The star-studded audience, including Oprah Winfrey, Maria Shriver, and Cheryl Lowe, witnessed a landmark announcement from Richard Weston Smith, COO of One805: the launch of a $10 million endowment dedicated to mental health support for first responders, with $1 million already secured.
The event also showcased an exclusive demonstration from Pivotal, One805’s 2025 festival partner, featuring a flight demo of their innovative electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft—highlighting new rapid-response technology for first responders.
The One805 Live Auction will remain open through Sunday, September 28, offering bidders opportunities for luxury travel and exclusive experiences, with all proceeds benefiting Santa Barbara County First Responders.
“One805LIVE! is more than just a concert—it’s a powerful reminder of what happens when a community unites in support of those who protect us,” said Kirsten Cavendish Weston-Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of One805. “This year’s event was historic, not only for its music and special moments but for the lasting commitment it establishes to first responder mental health.”
