Tom Selleck, 79, was recently spotted looking quite different while running errands in California. The iconic “Friends” star appeared with grey hair and a full bushy beard, a stark contrast to his recent look on “Blue Bloods.”

With the final season of “Blue Bloods” already filmed, Selleck has embraced a new style. On his outing, he wore a plain navy blue t-shirt layered under a matching linen shirt, paired with black shorts and trainers. He carried a file that seemed to contain paperwork and was seen grabbing a burger from McDonald’s, which he enjoyed in his car. This public appearance marked the first since the cancellation of his hit detective series.

With “Blue Bloods” behind him, Selleck is looking forward to spending more time at home with his wife of 41 years, Jillie. The couple, who have owned a 63-acre ranch in Ventura County since 1988, are set to enjoy their retirement on their serene property, where they raised their daughter, Hannah.

Selleck has shared that he plans to spend his downtime riding ATVs around the ranch and tending to his wildflowers, which he meticulously plants in cycles to ensure year-round blooms. Despite his tough-guy image from roles like Magnum PI, Selleck is a self-proclaimed softie at home, enjoying the simple pleasures of gardening and unwinding with a cigar and a glass of whiskey.

Reflecting on his life and career, Selleck expressed gratitude for his experiences, noting, “I’ve had a very good life, a very lucky life. I don’t know if it’s what I figured I’d be doing, but it’s with a lot of gratitude.”
