Tom Selleck, busy as ever, is seen here in Manhattan on July 22, 2011. Not only does he star as Frank Reagan, but he also plays a key role in producing the show. “I took on producing because I felt the actors’ work wasn’t fully captured in the editing room,” he explains. “I’m adept at this, so I wanted to be involved.”

Kevin Wade, the showrunner, highlights the importance of Len Cariou as former police commissioner Henry Reagan. Seen here filming the Season 2 episode “Reagan v. Reagan,” Henry, or Pop, was a crucial advisor for Frank.

On November 19, 2012, Will Estes (right) is caught in an intense action sequence during Season 3’s “Front Page News,” where Jamie Reagan faces a tough decision after a tragic encounter in a public park.

Jennifer Esposito and Donnie Wahlberg share a light moment while filming Season 2’s “The Uniform” in 2012, where their characters investigate a diner murder. Hopefully, they enjoyed some disco fries between takes!

In a playful moment from September 27, 2012, Sami Gayle and Bridget Moynahan dress as Dorothy and the Wicked Witch of the West for Season 3’s “Nightmares.”

Before his iconic role on The CW’s The Flash, Tom Cavanagh appeared in Season 4’s “Ties That Bind” as Mickey Patrick, a childhood friend of Danny’s entangled with a Florida crime family. Despite being on the naughty list, Mickey made a return in Season 13’s “The Big Leagues.”

Finally, Donnie Wahlberg is seen with Jinkx Monsoon and other queens while filming the Season 4 episode “Manhattan Queens.” Wahlberg directed the episode during the 2014 polar vortex, one of New York’s coldest days on record. Despite the challenge, he found the experience highly rewarding.
