Tom Selleck, 79, has no plans to retire despite concerns that he might struggle to maintain his 63-acre ranch after “Blue Bloods” concludes this winter. In a recent interview, Selleck, who has played New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan since 2010, expressed hope for future Western roles and criticized CBS for ending the successful series. He noted that “Blue Bloods” remains the third highest-rated scripted show and argued that its success merits a legacy for the cast and crew. Selleck also shared his frustrations with the current state of the TV industry, lamenting the trend-driven approach and lack of creative risk-taking, but affirmed his enduring passion for acting and the importance of connecting with audiences.
