“Tom Selleck Faces Potential Loss of California Ranch Following ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation”

With the end of Blue Bloods on the horizon, Tom Selleck might face the tough possibility of parting with his cherished 63-acre Ventura County ranch. Selleck, who purchased the property in 1988 following his success with Magnum P.I., has spent much of his downtime there. He has expressed hope that continued work will enable him to keep the ranch, telling CBS News, “You know, hopefully, I keep working enough to hold onto the place.” Despite being financially secure, Selleck acknowledges that maintaining such a large property is challenging if he stops working.

The actor, who turned 79 in January, has no plans to retire just yet. “As an actor, you never lose – I don’t lose, anyway – that sense that every time I finish a job, it’s my last job,” Selleck explained. He emphasized his deep respect for his craft and his desire to continue working.

While it’s disheartening to think Selleck might lose the ranch that has been a significant part of his life since the ’80s, he remains hopeful about his future prospects. With Blue Bloods concluding later this year, Selleck still has time to find new opportunities. The series finale is slated for December, with filming potentially extending into October or November. As new episodes of Blue Bloods air on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, and the final episodes premiere in October, Selleck has ample time to navigate his post-Blue Bloods career and hopefully secure the future of his beloved ranch.
