Tom Selleck Fears Losing Ranch If ‘Blue Bloods’ Isn’t Renewed

Following last November’s reports that “Blue Bloods” might conclude after its 14th season, Tom Selleck shared his concerns about the potential cancellation.

Selleck expressed hope that CBS would reconsider, stating, “Well, that’s a good question – I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses.”

He pointed out the show’s success, saying, “We’re the third-highest scripted show on broadcast television. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back.”

Selleck reassured fans, “I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows and still holding our place. So, I don’t know – you tell me!”

The actor also revealed the personal impact of a possible show cancellation, particularly on his 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California. “You know, hopefully, I keep working enough to hold onto the place,” Selleck admitted. “If I stopped working, yeah, that would be an issue.”

He added, “Am I set for life? Yeah, but maybe not on a 63-acre ranch!”

Reflecting on his career, Selleck noted, “As an actor, you never lose – I don’t lose, anyway – that sense that every time I finish a job, it’s my last job.” He emphasized his dedication to his craft, saying, “I like the fact that there are no excuses! You just go to work and you do the work. And I have a lot of reverence for what I call ‘the work,’ and I love it. And I’d like to keep doing it.”

The series finale of “Blue Bloods” is scheduled to air in December 2024.
