“Tom Selleck Looks Different Ahead of ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale”

Tom Selleck Unveils Surprising New Look Ahead of ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale

In the wake of “Blue Bloods” wrapping up, fans were bracing for some changes in Tom Selleck’s life. However, few anticipated that the nearly 80-year-old actor would part ways with his iconic mustache, which has been his trademark for decades.

Selleck’s new look has taken many by surprise, with the TV legend now sporting a full beard that makes him nearly unrecognizable. This change comes as a result of finishing the final episodes of “Blue Bloods,” which means Selleck is no longer required to maintain his previous on-screen appearance.

Recently, eyewitnesses spotted Selleck near his ranch in Thousand Oaks, California, and noted his shift from his classic mustache to a scruffy beard. His casual attire—shorts and a t-shirt—also contrasted sharply with his typically polished TV and event looks.

Despite his new appearance, Selleck did clean up a bit for a recent interview with Ted Danson, where he was seen with a trimmed beard, though still not his trademark mustache.

It’s worth noting that Selleck’s mustache wasn’t always part of his look. When he began his acting career on “The Young and the Restless,” he was clean-shaven. His mustache became a defining feature during his role as Magnum on “Magnum, P.I.,” and was so emblematic that CBS insisted he keep it for “Blue Bloods,” despite the change in character.

“Blue Bloods” will premiere its final eight episodes on Friday, October 18, marking the end of its fourteen-season run. While the cancellation is a disappointment to many, the show is concluding on a high note, proving its lasting appeal in a time when many series face early cancellations.
