“Tom Selleck Looks Different Ahead of ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale”

Tom Selleck Unveils ‘Unrecognizable’ New Look

With the end of Blue Bloods on the horizon, it seems Tom Selleck is embracing a major transformation. Fans who have followed the nearly 80-year-old actor through his iconic roles might be in for a surprise: Selleck’s trademark mustache is no longer the star of his look.

Recently, Selleck was spotted with a full beard, a dramatic departure from the facial hair that has defined his image for decades. This new scruffy appearance was observed during a casual outing near his ranch in Thousand Oaks, California. Unlike his usual polished look, Selleck was seen in shorts and a t-shirt, clearly relaxed and off-duty.

The final episodes of Blue Bloods wrapped filming some time ago, and with no contractual obligation to maintain his signature look, Selleck has evidently decided to shake things up. Although he still sports his mustache, it now blends into a fuller beard, altering his familiar appearance.

In a more formal setting, such as his recent interview with Ted Danson, Selleck maintained a bit of his new beard style, though his attire was more polished. His mustache remains, but its role is overshadowed by the overall beard.

For long-time fans, it’s worth noting that Selleck’s mustache wasn’t always part of his look. He initially appeared clean-shaven on The Young and the Restless before adopting the mustache for his role in Magnum, P.I.—a feature that became emblematic of his public persona.

CBS has announced that Blue Bloods will air its final eight episodes starting Friday, October 18. Despite the show’s cancellation, it is expected to finish strong, leaving fans with a lasting impression of Selleck in his most recognized role.
