“Tom Selleck Looks Different Without His Iconic Moustache in Rare Outing”
Hollywood star Tom Selleck recently made a rare public appearance in L.A., leaving many surprised by his look. The 78-year-old “Magnum P.I.” actor was nearly unrecognizable, sporting scruffy facial hair instead of his iconic handlebar moustache, complemented by a full beard and a side-parted salt-and-pepper hairstyle.
Dressed casually in a navy T-shirt and black shorts, Tom was seen at a McDonald’s drive-thru and running errands around the San Fernando Valley in his pick-up truck. At one point, he appeared contemplative while sitting in his car between tasks.
These sightings come as Tom’s series “Blue Bloods” is on hiatus due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, although recent WGA agreements provide some hope for actors. It’s been nearly a year since he was last spotted, with these photos taken last month. Tom is best known for his roles in “Magnum P.I.,” “Three Men and a Baby,” and “Friends,” where he played Monica Geller’s older boyfriend.
Currently starring as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in “Blue Bloods,” which has been running since 2010, Tom recently celebrated 36 years of marriage to wife Jillie Mack. He expressed his ongoing infatuation with her and shared that he was initially too shy to ask her out. Together, they have one daughter, Hannah, and Tom has a son, Kevin, from his first marriage.
Additionally, Tom is reportedly working on a memoir, with past reports indicating it would cover both his personal and professional life, although updates have been scarce since then.
