Tom Selleck Remains Hopeful CBS Will Reverse ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation

Tom Selleck Speaks Out on CBS’ Cancellation of ‘Blue Bloods’

Tom Selleck, known for his role as Commissioner Frank Reagan in CBS’ long-running police procedural Blue Bloods, is addressing the network’s decision to cancel the show after 14 successful seasons. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, he expressed hope for a last-minute revival, similar to the recent reprieve given to Shemar Moore’s S.W.A.T.

“I still believe CBS will come to their senses,” Selleck stated. “We’re the third-highest scripted show on broadcast television, and we’re winning the night. The entire cast is eager to return. I can assure you we’re producing strong episodes and maintaining our viewership. So, I really don’t know what to say!”

Selleck has been part of Blue Bloods since its debut in 2010, and he remains committed to the series. Despite the cast’s appeals for CBS to reconsider, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach confirmed the decision, stating, “We love this cast and their passion for the show. However, all shows must eventually come to an end, and it’s crucial for us to refresh the schedule. Blue Bloods will conclude in December.”

The show also stars Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Len Cariou.
