“Tom Selleck Reportedly Undergoes Major Surgery”

Tom Selleck Reportedly Recovering from Major Knee Surgery

Tom Selleck, known for his roles in “Blue Bloods” and “Magnum P.I.,” appears to be in recovery following significant knee surgery. On July 17, InTouch released footage showing the actor with noticeable vertical scars on both knees as he left a gym. This has fueled speculation that Selleck underwent simultaneous knee surgeries, although there has been no official confirmation or detail about the surgery’s timing from InTouch.

As of July 29, Selleck’s representatives have yet to comment on the accuracy of these reports.

Previous Health Rumors

Recent years have seen numerous rumors about Selleck’s health. Tabloids have frequently claimed he suffers from severe conditions such as “crippling arthritis.” For example, a July 2023 report from Radar suggested that Selleck was in “constant pain,” a statement his representatives firmly denied.

The new footage has heightened concerns about Selleck’s health, especially following an August 5 report in The National Enquirer. According to an unnamed source, the 79-year-old actor is overexerting himself with home maintenance tasks.

“He’s working himself into a sweat doing repairs, tending to the land, and tackling various tasks that are physically demanding,” the insider said. “He should take it easy, but he’s lifting and climbing and doing all the fix-it jobs himself. At his age, these activities could lead to serious injury if he falls.”

Returning to ‘Blue Bloods’

Despite these health concerns, Selleck is set to return to television this fall. He will reprise his role as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” which is gearing up for its 14th season. The series, a staple on CBS since 2010, continues to enjoy a dedicated fan base.

Season 14 of “Blue Bloods” is slated to premiere on October 18, marking the end of an era for the long-running show.
