“Tom Selleck Reveals Stunning Truth About His Blue Bloods Appearance — Fans Are in Shock”

Tom Selleck is widely known for his iconic mustache, which has become a defining feature of his career. However, Blue Bloods fans might be surprised to learn that his famous facial hair almost didn’t make it onto the show.

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Tom revealed that when he first landed the role of Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in 2010, he considered appearing clean-shaven. “Leonard Goldberg, the show’s creator, told me he was initially shocked by my decision to shave off the mustache,” Tom admitted. “He said, ‘Let me check with the network.’ Shortly after, he informed me that the network insisted I keep it.”

While Tom has played roles both with and without his mustache, he acknowledges that many of his most memorable characters are associated with it. “I was born without it,” he said. “It’s not as significant to me as it seems to be to others. The mustache is just a part of my look that changes with time; it’s not something I resent. My work involves more than just facial hair.”

As Tom prepares to wrap up his role on Blue Bloods, which is ending after Season 14B, he expressed his frustration over the show’s cancellation. “CBS is going to find that a lot of people aren’t ready to say goodbye,” he remarked in November 2023. “The show’s more popular than ever, and I believe our numbers will continue to rise. We certainly still have plenty of ideas left.”
