“Tom Selleck Seen in Public for the First Time After ‘Blue Bloods’ Cancellation, Revealing Knee Surgery Scars”

Tom Selleck was recently seen walking in Thousand Oaks, California, marking a rare public appearance. The 79-year-old actor, who sported knee surgery scars, was dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts as he left a gym on July 17. The outing, captured on video, showed Selleck heading to his car before stopping at a fast-food place for a drink.

Selleck has just wrapped filming for “Blue Bloods,” where he played New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan throughout the show’s 14-season run. Despite the cancellation of the popular series, Selleck had expressed his disappointment. In May, he shared his frustration with Town & Country, highlighting the show’s success and high ratings. “I still hold out hope that CBS will come to their senses,” he said, emphasizing the show’s strong performance and the dedication of everyone involved.

Season 14 of “Blue Bloods” was divided into two parts, with the first airing in February and the second set to air in September. Although a significant chapter of Selleck’s career is ending, sources told Closer that the former “Magnum, P.I.” star is staying active. Instead of taking it easy, Selleck is reportedly busy with home repairs, land maintenance, and various tasks around his 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California.

Selleck and his wife, Jillie Mack, reside on this sprawling property, which Selleck mentioned in May might strain his finances after “Blue Bloods.” He joked about the need to keep working to maintain the ranch, acknowledging the challenges of sustaining such a large property.

An insider revealed that despite the show’s cancellation, Selleck was hopeful for a revival and was perplexed by CBS’s decision. “It doesn’t make sense to Tom that CBS pulled the plug on ‘Blue Bloods,’” the source noted, expressing concern over the missed potential of the series.
