“Tom Selleck Shares Heartfelt Reason Behind Writing His 352-Page Memoir by Hand”

Tom Selleck is known for his preference for traditional methods over modern technology.

In a recent interview, the acclaimed actor, who recently released his memoir You Never Know, shed light on his unique approach to writing. Selleck chose to handwrite the entire 352-page memoir, revealing his deep-seated preference for this method over digital alternatives.

“I’ve always written by hand,” Selleck explained. “It’s the only way I know how to write effectively. When I sit in front of a keyboard, I struggle to think clearly. The tactile nature of writing with pen and paper helps me organize my thoughts better.”

Selleck’s aversion to technology extends beyond writing. He also admitted that his old-school habits affect his work on the set of “Blue Bloods.” “I drive everyone a bit crazy on the show because I insist on receiving scripts in printed form. I need to see the paper,” he said with a chuckle. “I don’t process information the same way when I’m scrolling through a screen. For me, having a physical script is far more effective and helps me retain the information better.”

His method may seem unconventional in the digital age, but for Selleck, it’s a crucial part of how he engages with his work and creativity.
