“Tom Selleck Surprises Fans with New Look Ahead of ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale”

Tom Selleck’s New Look Stuns Fans Ahead of ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale

One aspect of Tom Selleck’s image that many fans expected to remain constant was his iconic mustache. However, the 79-year-old actor’s recent appearance has left many people doing a double-take. His new facial hair style has made him look quite different from the familiar face fans have known for decades.

The final episodes of “Blue Bloods” were filmed some time ago, and with the series ending soon, Selleck is free from any contractual obligations regarding his appearance. This freedom often leads actors to change their looks, whether by relaxing their diet and exercise routines or altering their hairstyles. In Selleck’s case, the change is quite dramatic. Eyewitnesses recently spotted him running errands near his ranch in Thousand Oaks, California, sporting a full beard—a significant departure from his signature mustache.

Typically, Selleck is known for his distinct mustache, a feature that has defined his look for more than 40 years. However, this time he was seen with a full beard and dressed casually in shorts and a t-shirt, a stark contrast to his more polished public appearances and TV roles. Despite this change, Selleck still had his mustache, but it was overshadowed by the new beard.

Fans might be surprised to learn that Selleck didn’t always have his famous mustache. When he began his acting career on “The Young and the Restless,” he was clean-shaven. It wasn’t until his role as Magnum, P.I. that the mustache became his trademark. The mustache was so integral to his image that CBS requested he keep it for his role in “Blue Bloods,” despite the role of a fictional police chief.

As “Blue Bloods” prepares to air its final eight episodes starting Friday, October 18, the show’s cancellation has been met with some disappointment from Selleck. However, the series seems to be ending on a high note, maintaining its strong following until the end.
