“Tom Selleck to Remain with ‘Blue Bloods’ Despite Cancellation Rumors”

Tom Selleck is determined not to say goodbye to “Blue Bloods” despite CBS’s plans to cancel the popular crime drama.

A source told the National Enquirer that Selleck is eager to maintain his $200,000 per episode paycheck, which he relies on to support his California avocado farm. “One of the strengths of Tom’s marriage to Jillie is their ability to spend time apart, which makes their time together even more special,” the source explained. “Jillie likely doesn’t want Tom around 24/7 any more than he does.”

The insider also pointed out that the upkeep of Selleck’s ranch is costly, and losing over $4 million annually in salary could create significant financial strain. “The ranch’s expenses are high, and losing Tom’s salary could lead to a real cash crunch,” they noted.

The decision to cancel “Blue Bloods” comes as CBS seeks to cut costs following a financial crisis exacerbated by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. “Blue Bloods costs more than $20 million a year in salaries alone, not including production expenses,” an insider shared.

Despite these challenges, Selleck is not ready to bid farewell to the show. He expressed his commitment, saying, “CBS will find that many people aren’t ready to say goodbye. The show is more popular than ever, and we still have plenty of ideas.”

Selleck added, “I’m not waiting for the day I can move on. I love the work.” Another source mentioned that Selleck hopes fans will rally strongly enough to persuade CBS to reverse the cancellation decision.
